Are you prepared for your next outage?
Power OUtages
Regardless of where you live, power outages are likely to happen. Storms, hurricanes, flooding, ice, even car accidents can cause an outage. Are you prepared to loose power in your home or business?
What can you do to be ready?
- Create a family/business safety plan for power outages
- Gather provisions in case of an extended outage (Non-perishable food, batteries, flashlights, candles, pet food, and water)
- Contact your energy provider to report your power outage (Use our Power outage Map Links to check your location for possible outages)
- Obtain backup power via your home standby generator
Call 911 immediately if a downed power line makes contact with water, a vehicle, or a person.
Do not try to remove a downed line by yourself.
